#16 Power Dust
(Poultice Mix for Horse Wounds topical use only)
Since this product came along I have not seen the open wound which needed stitching, except to repair cut tendons and ligaments, and there is no such thing as proud flesh in a wound that is healing properly. Minimal scarring is a reality with this magnificent product.

The ingredients used in this product are:
  • capsicum to promote topical circulation
  • comfrey to knit the flesh as well as the bone
  • flax seed to draw out topical infection and foreign objects
  • golden seal for it’s strong anti-biotic capacities
  • lobelia as a nerve healing agent
  • plantain to draw out poisons
  • shepherds purse to control bleeding
  • slippery elm for it’s healing ability
  • yarrow for the ability to staunch bleeding

This poultice mix is nothing short of incredible and works on old wounds as well as fresh wounds. Old wounds often benefit from the use of an immune support product such as the #25 INF-X.
The cost is $53.00 a pound and the recommended use is for a fresh wound - sprinkle the dry poultice mix directly on the open wound and then wrap with a vet wrap. Leave it covered in like manner for 12 hours and then remove the bandage and wipe clean with a clean cloth. Reapply the poultice powder and leave exposed to the open air for 12 hours. Continue this cycle until the wound is healed. If the wound is dry or scabbed over, you can make a poultice by mixing a small amount of water to a measured amount of the powder and apply the poultice directly to the wound and wrapping with a sweat bandage. This too should be done for 12 hours on and then 12 hours off with the dry powder put on the wound while the bandage is off.
